Job Description:

As SYNAXIOM’s bookkeeper,  you will be an integral part of the team with responsibilities including bookkeeping and managing the full accounting cycle, payroll the preparation of financial statements and the implementation of processes and procedures.

  1. Management of the full accounting cycle
  2. Preparation of financial statements
  3. Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
  4. Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
  5. Complete tax forms

Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Proficient knowledge of Quick books is mandatory
  2. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  3. Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  4. Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
  5. Solid communication skills both written and verbal French/English
  6. Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  7. Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure
  8. Certificate in bookkeeping
  9. Minimum 5 years experience in a pertinent role
